The very first Batmobile was just a regular car, a 1936 Cord that belonged to Bruce Wayne and served as Batmobile just because it was the car that Batman drove. But within just a few years there were big crazy fins adorning the cars, and even though there have been a few attempts in the comics to put Batman back into actual production cars, people generally like a bit of insanity with the Batmobile. The movies have tended to go along with this, even the Christopher Nolan-era movies had a more realistic but still absolutely insane machine, the Tumbler. Well, Warner Brothers has just officially debuted the Batmobile from the upcoming Dawn of Justice movie, and it seems that they found a way to make a Tumbler-type vehicle even crazier.
This is not a criticism, a Batmobile is supposed to look menacing and unhinged, like it was built by a man driven half mad by the murder of his parents. The interior, on the other hand, still looks like it was made for functionality, little different form that of the Tumbler. Essentially the interior of a very complex military vehicle.
