In a recent Q&A session with Christian Von Koenigsegg, Koenigsegg was asked if he had considered building an evolved version of the 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 for track-only use. After seeing his response to questions about the 2016 Koenigsegg Regera and its drivetrain, one might expect a longer answer, but instead all he said was:
“That is something we are thinking about. But it wouldn’t be a One:1 because that was optimized as a road car with incredible track performance. This would be a track-only car, which therefore has a different philosophy.”
So, it is official that we never will see a One:1 designed for track-only use, but there sure is potential that we might see something even better. The question is: what?
