Scion iA



There’s the Saabaru (Saab 9-2X), the Toyobaru (Scion FR-S/Subaru BR-Z), and now meet the Toyazda. Derived from the fourth-gen Mazda Demio/Mazda2, the 2016 Scion iA made its debut at the New York Auto Show standing as the first-ever sedan for Toyota’s youth-targeting Scion brand. In addition to the equally new 2016 Scion iM, the Scion iA will definitely help breathe some much-needed life to the Scion lineup, which has been languishing for several years now (despite the addition of the FR-S).


Teaming up with Mazda allowed Scion to get a stylish, affordable and efficient subcompact sedan in its showrooms without too much of a wait. Scion says that the 2016 iA will go on sale this fall, which could very well be ahead of the 2016 Mazda2’s launch. While there are still quite a few details that are unknown regarding the 2016 Scion iA, it already looks like a very promising small car.
