2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport


Land Rover is currently testing the next iteration of the Range Rover Sport – the popular midsize SUV slotted in the premium market. The most current crop of spy shots reveal the SUV has an updated face and larger infotainment system within the dash. Beyond that, Land Rover is quiet on the details. That should change, however, when this version of the Range Rover Sport debuts, likely sometime in late 2016 or early 2017. This means the changes will be found on the 2018 model year Range Rover Sport.

The first generation Range Rover Sport saw action in 2005. It combined the high-class luxuries normally seen in the Range Rover brand with sporty driving characteristics. A facelift for the 2009 model year kept the Rover fresh, though by the time it was replaced, it had long served its time. The current Range Rover Sport bowed in 2013, ushering in a new era of extensive aluminum under the new Jaguar Land Rover brand.

Now midway through 2016, it’s time Land Rover start working on updates. That’s obviously happening as our spy photographer snapped several photos of a test mule running around Europe. Thankfully our man was able to capture the prototype’s interior, hinting at what the next Range Rover has in store. One thing’s for sure: the eight-inch touch screen is being swapped for something much, much larger.
