The Volante name has been used on Aston Martin convertibles for the last 50 some years. Looking back, we’ve seen the Short Chassis Volante in 1965 and 1966, and then there was the DB6based Volante from 1966 to 1971. Then, between 1978 and 1996 there was the V8 Volante, V8 Vantage Volante, and the V8 Virage Volante. From ’96 to ’04 there was the DB7 Volante, and more recently there has been the DB9 and DBS Volante. Until then, let’s take a good look at the rendering and talk a little about the potential of this upcoming model.
