Formed in 1980 as an automotive engineering company specializing in preparing race-spec engines, Mountune has been updating Focus and Fiesta hatchbacks for European customers for quite a few years now. In 2013, the aftermarket tuning brand announced plans to set up shop in California to provide high-performance and racing parts for Ford vehicles here in the U.S. Two years have passed since then and 2015 Ford Focus ST owners now have access to a performance upgrade specifically developed for the hot-hatch.
While this is great news for owners looking to add more oomph to their Focus STs, Mountune claims that the new kit is not just about increasing performance. According to the company, the parts were designed for maximum reliability as well, which isn’t surprising considering Mountune’s experience in the racing world, where reliability is paramount.
“The 2015 Focus ST MP275 upgrade is the latest addition to Ford Performance’s vast Focus and Fiesta performance catalog that gives enthusiasts the components they need to take their car to the next level,” said Adam Gair, product manager at Ford Performance.
The upgrade is available now for 2015 model-year hatchbacks and joins the 2013/2014 Focus ST power kit in the company’s current offerings. And it’s more affordable than the previous bundle too!
