Koenigsegg Regera

For a small-volume hypercar manufacturer with only a little over 150 cars sold since the company started series production of the CC8S back in 2002, Koenigsegg has had a lot of models in its lineup at any given time. For example, the current Koenigsegg range consists of three models (Agera S, Agera R and One:1), while the upcoming 2015 Geneva Motor Show will add two more cars to the stable.

One of those two is the mysterious Agera RS, while the other one is a new model called the Regera. According to Koenigsegg, "Regera" is a Swedish transitive verb that means to "rule; govern, or reign." If that definition wasn’t enough to get your blood flowing, you may also want to know that the model is neither a supercar nor a hypercar, instead being called a "megacar" by the carmaker. As you may remember, when the One:1 was unveiled, it was also called a megacar by Koenigsegg, courtesy of its "one MegaWatt of power." On the other hand, the Regera will trounce that figure with over 1.11 MW of power from its plug-in hybrid drivetrain with no gearbox.
