"Need for Speed," anyone? If you ever want to get pulled over by the coolest police car you have ever seen, the city of Dubai may be a good place to speed. Since 2013, the Dubai Police department has conducted a PR campaign that has now expanded to feature more than a dozen supercars posing as police vehicles. None of these cars are actually used for high-speed chases as far as I know, but they regularly get used for pulling people over, which may one of the most fun things that may happen to you in that part of the world.
Since there are few cities out there with a similar supercar density, Dubai’s rulers decided to market that feature using the police as well, and that is how the supercar police fleet started. The ever-increasing stable of models is featured during special events, with the latest being a video shot in 4K. A few seconds into the footage, it looks like the images come from either a new Need For Speed movie or yet another sequel to the Transformers franchise. You can check out a Bugatti Veyron – the first police supercar in Dubai – and a number of other powerful sports cars like the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Nissan GT-R and a Bentley Continental Coupe, all of them being followed by a G63 AMG.
