2015 Geneva Motor Show - Preview



First held in 1905, the Geneva Motor Show has hosted debuts for some of the world’s greatest vehicles, ranging from power-packing supercars to the most fuel-efficient hybrids. Highlights from the past include the Jaguar E-Type, Range Rover Classic, Lotus Carlton, and the 1989 Corvette ZR-1, just to name a few. More recently, Geneva has brought us the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, LaFerrari, McLaren P1, and the 991-generation Porsche 911 GT3. While last year’s edition was rather modest in that department, with only 40 debuts compared to more than 100 in 2013, things seem to pick up in 2015, with at least 60 world debuts on display.


Making things even better is that no fewer than eight incredibly powerful supercars are waiting to show themselves to the world, with an additional 15 concept cars providing us with a glimpse of the future. With the likes of Koenigsegg, McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin all getting ready to unveil their latest creations, the Geneva Motor Show is arguably 2015’s most exciting auto show yet. With the 85th edition just around the corner, I rounded up a preview of the most important vehicles set to break cover in Switzerland’s second-most populous city, starting March 3rd.
