Toyota Avalon

Back in the 2013 model year, Toyota fully redesigned the Avalon, giving it a sleeker, sexier, and more luxurious look than it ever had before. Along with this redesign, Toyota made the Avalon’s body slightly shorter and wider, improving its stance and giving passengers more shoulder and hip room. Obviously Toyota isn’t too satisfied with the Avalon to date, as it is set to unveil a refreshed version for the 2016 model year at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.

By the looks of the shadowy teaser image and from the verbiage in the short press release, it appears that the updates will be limited to just the front and rear fascias. Look for a set of redesigned headlights, a new lower apron, updated taillights, and a revised rear bumper. Unfortunately, Toyota didn’t dive into any of the details for the 2016 Avalon, so it is unclear if this model will feature any mechanical updates or not. I suspect that we’ll see the bits under the skin carry over, but Toyota may surprise us.
