Harley-Davidson Launches Discover More Campaign

harley davidson street glide special 2014 12

Harley-Davidson is giving back to its fans in arguably one of the coolest ways possible. Not only is the American bookmaker paying a lucky fan €25,000 ($28,580) to ride around Europe in a Harley-Davidson Street Glide, it’s also throwing in the bike for free once the ride is done. Talk about generosity, Harley’s got gift baskets full of it.

According to Harley, the lucky rider will get all of these goodies if he or she is picked as the face of its “Discover More 2015” campaign. The objective of the ride is pretty simple: discover the greatest touring ride experiences in Europe.

I’m sure a lot of you have been on the other side of the Atlantic and you’ll probably agree that there’s no shortage of scenic routes in that continent. Basically, Harley wants to go to a lot of these places and document the whole thing. The lucky rider will be there, of course, and for what it’s worth, he or she will get to experience all of it up close and personal.

There is a caveat, though. Ironically, the American bikemaker is only accepting applications from riders with a valid European Union passport and a full motorcycle license. The license is the easy part, but that EU passport is a little tricky. But hey, if somebody out there has an EU passport, then go ahead and apply!

Anybody who’s interested in joining the competition has to apply at the campaign’s dedicated website (http://ift.tt/1CJxMty) and explain why he or she should be the rider chosen to participate in this incredible joyride. Applications will be considered until March 20, 2015 with the chosen rider being announced sometime in April 2015 and the trip starting in May 2015.
