The Chevrolet Equinox made its debut as the company’s new compact SUV in 2005, and underwent its first generational overhaul in 2010. Now that we’re set to pass the halfway point of the 2010s, Chevrolet is set to unveil a refreshed version of the second-generation Equinox for the 2016 model year. This new Equinox is set to debut on February 12, 2015, but ahead of this launch, Chevrolet released a teaser image showing a significantly updated front fascia.
There is actually a lot to see in the teaser image, which only shows off the headlight, fog light and a small portion of the front, passenger-side corner of the SUV. The number of changes made to just this small section of the front-end leads me to believe that the SUV will look dramatically different when compared to the 2015 Equinox. The only thing that remains uncertain is whether or not Chevy will update what’s beneath the skin.
