Since its debut for the 2013 model year, the second-generation Ford Fusion has set the tone for styling in the mid-size sedan segment, but challengers have come on strong over the last year or so looking to beat Ford at its own game. To stay ahead of the pack, the Ford Fusion will soon be getting an updated exterior design, and with the 2016 Fusion already on sale, this will almost certainly be the 2017 Ford Fusion.
Our spy photographers recently caught up with a prototype of the 2017 Ford Fusion out testing, and judging by the lack of camouflage covering the body, it’s very likely we’ll be seeing the new-look Fusion sooner rather than later. For Europeans still getting used to the all-new Ford Mondeo, which is essentially a rebadged version of the U.S. Fusion, it’s not clear when this updated design will be making its way across the Atlantic.
