With Spectre, the 24th James Bond film, currently filming with some pretty special cars, movie buffs and car aficionados try to get a glimpse of the action from the set. This time, a number of action sequences for Spectre take place in Italy, where it is expected that Bond’s Aston Martin DB10 will try to evade a villain’s Jaguar C-X75.
Known car-spotter and YouTube user Marchettino got ahold of the footage above after it was shot on the streets of Rome. Most of the chase sequences are pure gold, but the real bum-clenching moment happens around the 0:34 minute mark, when the Jaguar narrowly misses the braking DB10 and almost runs over a member of the film crew. Recent reports mention that at least one of the cars is driven by ex-Stig and former racing driver Ben Collins, but there is no way of knowing if he was wheeling the Aston or the Jag in this sequence.
If the scene is not enough to get your blood pumping, turning up the volume is bound to do it, as both supercars involved in the chase sound like something out of a horror movie — in the good way, of course. Another interesting bit is how the DB10 always enters that corner in full drift, while its foe is constantly trying to hit the apex and is actually gaining on the Aston.
