The Lexus F badge has been used since 2008 to designate only the fastest and most aggressive cars in the company’s lineup. The first was the IS F, then Lexus released the new RC F coupe. Now Lexus is adding another car to the F family, and it is the one I am most excited about. This is the new 2016 Lexus GS F.
The GS occupies the middle of the rear-wheel-drive Lexus sedan lineup, slotting above the IS, but below the LS. It may be based on the current GS 350 F Sport, but the GS F rolls into production with a larger engine, stiffened chassis, new differential and revised suspension. Lexus is still holding most of the details until the official reveal in a few days at the Detroit Auto Show, but we still have a fair bit of information regarding this new competitor to the venerable BMW M5.
