Neiman Marcus’ annual Christmas Book always gets our attention, largely because it always has a special edition car in it. Over the past five years, we’ve seen a handful of models receive the “Neiman Marcus Edition” treatment, including the Jaguar XJL Supercharged (2009), the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible (2010), the Ferrari FF (2011), the McLaren 12C Spider (2012), and the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante (2013). This year, Neiman Marcus has given that distinction to the Maserati Ghibli S Q4.
The actual (and obscenely long) name of the car is the 100th Anniversary Neiman Marcus Limited-Edition Maserati Ghibli S Q4. Like the past models, the Ghibli Neiman Marcus Limited Edition is very limited. Only 100 units will be made and each model will be priced at $95,000. Bring out your calculators and that’s roughly $20,000 more than what a standard Ghibli S Q4 goes for these days.
That’s the price you have to pay for being one of the 100 lucky owners of this limited edition Maserati. Besides, once you find out the level of personalization Neiman Marcus gave to the Ghibli, you’re probably going to think that $95k is a relative bargain. At least you might think that if you have enough money to buy a Neiman Marcus car in the first place.
There are plenty of visual changes. but don’t expect any power upgrades. This limited edition Ghibli retains its 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that produces 404 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. That’s still good enough to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 175 mph.
