The 2014 Paris Motor Show confirmed that the Jaguar XE is everything we hoped it would be. Lightweight, gorgeous, packed with the latest JLR technology and powerful yet fuel-efficient engines, the XE looks ready to bring the fight to the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Audi A4. Although we know almost everything there is to know about Jag’s latest "cat", we need to be patient for another year until we get to drive it, as the XE won’t be arriving Stateside until the 2016 model year. However, that didn’t stop Jaguar USA from firing up its online configurator so you can start building the British sports sedan of your dreams.
For the time being, the configurator comes with just the basic components. Users can only play with the sedan’s exterior colors and interior trims, as neither the standard nor the optional features are listed. Jaguar’s American website lists three models. There’s the base XE, the mid-level XE R-Sport and the range-topping XE S. No engine specs are given as of this writing, but be sure to stick around for more details.
