Toyota has just dropped a shadowy teaser image of its upcoming compact crossover. Dubbed the C-HR, its shape looks far more appealing than the automaker’s current crop of crossoverss, namely the RAV4.
Set to debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 2, 2014, the crossover is said to “combine a powerful new design language with an engaging driving experience.” Of course with it being a Toyota product, a hybrid powertrain will be an available.
Though we know nothing else about Toyota’s latest, the crossover appears to have the same proportions as the new Lexus NX. It’s possible the two ride on the same platform, and possibly share the same, 2.0-liter, inline four-cylinder, turbocharged powertrain. Remember, the NX also comes with a 2.5-liter I-4 hybrid drive. Both engines would work well for Toyota in maintaining high efficiency and reliability.
Toyota also spilled the beans on another product it’s bringing to Paris – the Fuel Cell Sedan. This model will mark Europe’s first encounter with Toyota’s Fuel Cell Sedan. The sedan already made its U.S. debut in California in the summer of 2014.
The Paris Motor Show is set to run from October 2nd through the 19th, 2014.
