It seems like video games are fast becoming the premier way for automakers to launch new and exclusive models in today’s tech-addled era. We have seen the McLaren P1 headline Forza Motorsports 5, the new Lamborghini Huracán is the king of the upcoming Forza Horizon 2, and now it looks like Mercedes-Benz has teamed up with Sony to jump into the game.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is the upcoming replacement for the bonkers SLS supercar, and it is set to be formally announced next week on September 9th. Now Mercedes has come out and announced that after the car launches it will be available first in the new game DRIVECLUB from Sony Entertainment Europe.
The game is set to launch on October 8th, and for the first week of availability the new AMG GT will be a free download. There is no word on how much the cost for the new GT will be after the first week promotion is over.
If you want even more AMG fun in your video game life, DRIVECLUB comes with five other cars from the Mercedes stable; A45 AMG, CLA 45 AMG, C63 AMG Coupe Black Series, SL65 AMG and the father of the new GT, the SLS AMG Coupe Black Series.
If you want to play in this automotive party, you have just over a month to get your shiny new Playstation 4 to play it on.
