As if the 2014 Paris Motor Show wasn’t interesting enough with the planned debuts of the Mercedes-AMG GT, the Jaguar XE and the Infiniti QX70S Design, the folks over at Lamborghini have announced plans to introduce a new vehicle of their own at the French event. But unlike other manufacturers, the Italian company didn’t release more than just a teaser photo and a vague description of its upcoming supercar.
Although the photo is far from revealing, it does say a lot about Lambo’s new creation. Firstly, it’s obvious the body shape doesn’t stray far from what we’ve seen from the Italians lately. There’s a bit of Huracan and Aventador in there, with muscular rear fenders that incorporate large air intakes. Secondly, the engine is right where it’s supposed to be; behind the seats. So far so good, but then there’s the message that comes with the teaser. It reads "once perfection is achieved, you can just double it," and, needless to say, it leaves a lot of room for interpretation.
Granted, it doesn’t mean we’ll be getting a special-edition Huracan with double the horsepower, but what’s Lamborghini up to? Should we expect a Lambo with two additional doors, as in a four-door super sedan? Are the Italians adding two more seats to come up with a 2+2 GT?
