We’ve all heard whispers that Jaguar has plans to crown its highly popular F-Type family with a top-of-the-line model. Some even said that the company was enlisting its SVR division to help in the development of said range-topper. Well, recent spy shots of a souped-up F-Type made the rounds, and if there’s any truth to all these rumors, you can put one and one together and say that the Jaguar F-Type SVR might just be the real deal.
The first spy shots of the possible F-Type SVR came by way of CAR Magazine, which captured a prototype of the potential supercar — yes, we said supercar — doing some test runs with a surprisingly small amount of camouflage to hide it from eagle-eyed spy photographers. Not that we have any problems with it because the less swirly wraps a car has, the more we get to see.
Adding more weight to the possibility of a Jaguar F-Type SVR is a separate report coming from Motoring Australia, which said that it received word from Jaguar Australia that it already has 10 customers on a holding list to order the F-Type SVR as soon as it’s launched.
Chalk that up as the latest indication that a Jaguar F-Type SVR is in the works.
Updated: 08/18/2015: Our team of spy photographers sent more recent images of the F-Type SVR Roadster while being thrashed on the Nurburgring.
